Review

sound

For neutral sound, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are adequate. Its bass is longer than its predecessor's, which contributes to an improvement in its overall bass. However, this time around, their sonic profile is a little warmer rather than rumbly, giving the impression of coziness and softness in the voices and instrumentation. The treble is slightly more subdued, which softens the impact of instruments and sibilants. But because they are still in-ears, they don't have the same natural, spacious soundstage as headphones made specifically for audiophiles. Fortunately, while using suitable content, their spatial audio function enables audio to track your head motions, making the experience more immersive.

Commute & Travel

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 are excellent for traveling and commuting. You can keep these cozy, well-made earphones in your pocket or purse while you're on the go because of their lightweight, portable design. They last roughly six hours constantly with their ANC on and can significantly reduce the low rumbling of bus and airplane engines. You won't irritate people around you because they don't leak much noise at loud volumes.

Sports & Fitness

For exercise and sports, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are excellent. The buds sometimes squirm out of some users' ears, but once you find a decent fit, they are secure and pleasant enough for light exercise. These compact headphones have a sturdy construction and are certified IPX4 for resistance to water splashes.

office

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 work okay for use at work. These in-ears are well-built and comfy, making them ideal for extended workdays. Even though their six-hour continuous battery life might not last the entirety of your day, their carrying bag offers an extra four charges, which is helpful in an emergency. Additionally, they have a great ANC system that does a great job of blocking out workplace noise like chit-chat from coworkers and the high-pitched hum of air conditioners.

Wireless Gaming

These Bluetooth headphones are called Apple AirPods Pro 2. They aren't intended for wireless gaming, and it's possible that their latency is too high.

Online gaming

Since the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are Bluetooth headphones, you cannot play wired video games with them.

Making calls

For phone calls, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are only fair. Although these earbuds include an embedded microphone, it struggles to clearly record your voice because of how far away it is from your lips. Speech becomes weak and muddled as a result. If you are receiving a call while in a noisy area, such as a busy street, it may also be drowned out. The good news is that you can better concentrate on your calls thanks to their ANC technology, which can help filter out background noise.

compare with other headphones

compare with Beats Fit Pro True Wireless

Better in-ear headphones than the Beats Fit Pro True Wireless are the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) that are truly wireless. The Apple is more cozy, better constructed, and performs noticeably better at noise isolation. Additionally, they feature additional charges in their carrying bag and a longer continuous battery life. The Beats, on the other hand, feature a more secure in-ear fit, making them a better option for exercise and sports.

Compare to Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II Truly Wireless

Both the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) Truly Wireless and the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II Truly Wireless are excellent in-ear headphones with unique advantages. The Bose in-ears are more comfortable, and their ANC system is vastly superior. Additionally, their companion app has a graphic EQ and presets that let you adjust the sound to your preferences. However, Apple users will appreciate how well-designed the headphones are. They feel more luxurious, enable spatial audio, and have an H2 chip for easy connection with other iOS devices. Furthermore, some users may prefer their slightly more neutral sound profile.

Compare to Sony WF-1000XM4 Truly Wireless

The Sony WF-1000XM4 Truly Wireless are inferior in-ears to the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) Truly Wireless. The Apple is more cozy, has an overall sound profile that is more neutral, which some users might prefer, and their ANC can filter out more background noise across a wider frequency range. For smooth pairing with your Apple devices, they also feature an H2 chip. The Sony headphones, on the other hand, perform better overall in terms of battery life, and their companion app provides customization options like a graphic EQ and presets to help you fine-tune the sound to your preferences.

Compare to Apple AirPods Pro Truly Wireless

The following iteration of the Apple AirPods Pro Truly Wireless is the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation). There have been minor tweaks to their sound profile and noise isolation performance, but not much in terms of comfort or premium build quality. The second-gen can reproduce deep bass better and has a little warmer tone than the first-gen. Additionally, their ANC is far more effective at dramatically reducing background noise across the board. They also feature a greater continuous battery life, although they only have one less charge than their predecessors. The U1 chip is also in their carrying case.so that if you lose your case, you can find it quickly. The second generation makes good progress in the proper directions, even though the adjustments are generally not very significant.

AirPods Pro 2 features

Battery

The battery life of the Apple AirPods Pro 2 is respectable. The manufacturer claims that they can run continuously for six hours, and our measurements were in line with that. However, depending on use, battery life can change. Fortunately, there are approximately four extra charges in the case if necessary, and the earbuds enter standby mode, which is helpful for battery conservation.

App Support

  • App Name: iOS Interface

  • Windows: No
  • Equalizer: No
  • ANC Control: On/Off
  • Mic Control: No

The 'Find My' feature also allows you to trace the case if you misplace it and perform a fit check to ensure the optimum fit. Although this app doesn't have an EQ, you can get sound customization options by going to the 'Accessibility' tab on your iOS device.

    Bluetooth CONNECTIVITY

Bluetooth communication with the Apple AirPods Pro 2 is adequate. They can be connected to two distinct Apple devices at once, but this won't work with Android devices. They also have high latency when connected to PCs, but fortunately, iOS and Android smartphones have lesser latency. However, latency can differ based on the app and the device.

    PC Compatibility

With complete audio and microphone compatibility, these headphones can be connected to PCs that support Bluetooth. They cannot, however, be connected to your PC in any other way.

    Wired

A lightning-to-USB-C connector is included with these headphones to recharge the carrying case. This cable cannot be used for audio.

    AirPods Pro 2 design features

    Amazing design

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 are almost identical to their predecessor, the Apple AirPods Pro Truly Wireless, in terms of appearance. With a stem design and white silicone tips, they have a modern white appearance. Since they are Apple products, it is to be anticipated that they only come in one color option.

    comfortable & lightweight

These in-ears are lightweight and cozy. Apple has increased the total number of pairs of supplied ear tips to four, compared to their predecessor, by including an additional small pair. When you try to register commands, their fit won't push further into your ear or exert pressure on it. The earphones, like those of the previous generation, can eventually slip out of your ear. Although not all users are affected, some people have found a solution to this problem by buying foam ear tips that conform to their

    excellent control

These flowers have excellent control. The "force sensor" controls have been improved from the original generation, and there is click feedback for the number of clicks you make on the stem. When switching between ANC settings, various chimes play. Touch volume chimes also play when the volume is adjusted or reached at the minimum or maximum level. Overall, the controls are responsive and simple to use.

  • Single press: pauses or plays audio. also returns a call and hangs up.
  • Double press: forward track is skipped.
  • Triple press: backslides the track.
  • Press and hold: Transparency mode, which enables you to hear your surroundings without turning off your audio, is a cycle between ANC on, off, and transparency mode.
  • Say 'Hey Siri': starts the Siri virtual assistant. However, this command only functions on iOS devices.
  • Portability

These earbuds are extremely portable and light in weight. Even while they're in their carrying case, they fit without a problem into the majority of bags or pockets.

    included case

Excellent carrying case. The design and finish are made of the same plastic as the previous version. If you want to attach it to something, it has a lanyard loop and supports MagSafe charging. Additionally, it includes an IPX4 certification for resistance to water splashes and an U1 chip that makes it simple to use the "Find My" app to locate the case if you misplace it.

    superbly constructed

Like other items from this company, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are superbly constructed. They have silicone ear tips and are primarily comprised of plastic. If you want to wear them to the gym, they are also IPX4 certified for resistance to water splashes.

    stability

These in-ears comfortably fit into the ear. Although some users may discover that the buds eventually squirm out of their ears, if you find a decent fit, they will stay in place with reasonable head movements. You risk having them fall out of your ears if you try to use them while running.

    AirPods Pro 2 sound features

    Audio Quality

    Bass Amount : -1.65 dB
    Treble Amount : -2.74 dB
If you prefer genres with a little more bass or if you prefer your singers and instruments to sound cozier in your mixes, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are a perfect option. They have an adaptive EQ and, when turned on, have a somewhat warm sound profile. They also offer better bass extension than their Apple AirPods Pro Truly Wireless counterparts, which enhances the depth of the bass in your audio. Their sound is often extremely adaptable and suitable for a range of audio content. To help you adjust their sound, there are no presets or built-in EQs available. If you use iOS, the 'Accessibility' tab in your settings will provide you with access to sound tuning options. show more +

    Consistency of Frequency Response

    Avg. Std. Deviation: 0.15 dB
The constancy of the frequency response is excellent. You'll get consistent bass and treble delivery each time you use them, as long as you establish a good fit.

    Bass Precision

The bass precision on these in-ears is excellent. As a result of their enhanced low-bass, the bass in your mixes will sound deeper. Additionally, there is an increase in warmth to help counteract their underemphasized low-bass. When compared to other in-ear headphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro True Wireless, the bassline in songs like Taylor Swift's Lavender Haze feels a little underwhelming, but it still feels satisfying and present without overpowering vocals and instrumentation.

    Average Accuracy

The middle's accuracy is really good. From the bass range towards the midrange, there is some warmth. Although the rest of the spectrum is flat, this overemphasis clutters singers and instruments a little bit, but these sounds are still audible and well-detailed in mixes. Doja's voice sounds warm and comforting but a bit murky in vocal-focused songs like Doja Cat's Vegas.

    Triple Precision

The treble precision of the Apple AirPods Pro 2 is excellent. The edge of the vocals and instruments is lessened by the response being somewhat underemphasized throughout the range. These sounds' top harmonics are a little bit muffled, while sibilants like hi-hats lose a little bit of their crispness.

    Peaks/Dips

Performance during peaks and declines is excellent. While there is a fall in the mid-mid that more noticeably affects the left driver and pushes vocals and instruments to the rear of the mix, there is a surge spanning the high-bass to low-mid that slightly muddies mixes. A second mid-treble bump gives sibilants like cymbals a piercing quality.

    imaging quality

The imaging quality is excellent. Apple makes a lot of effort to maintain strict quality control on its products. Because of this, the L/R drivers in our unit have good group delay, phase, amplitude, and frequency response matching, which is crucial for placing items like voices correctly in the stereo image. However, because of quality control and ergonomics, imaging can differ between units.

    Soundstage inert

Although it's typical for in-ear headphones, these in-ears feature a poor passive soundstage. Their closed-off soundscape gives the impression that sound is emanating from inside your head rather than from speakers that are located around you, since they intentionally bypass the pinna.

    Virtual Soundstage

These in-ears work with the iOS interface's spatial audio feature from Apple. As you turn it, it scans your face from the front, taking in all of its angles. When everything is finished, sound will follow your head motions, providing a more engaging audio experience.

    Diffusion of Weighted Harmonics

The performance of the weighted harmonic distortion is excellent. All frequencies are reproduced with good precision because they are all within acceptable ranges.

    AirPods Pro 2 isolation features

    Noise Isolation

The noise isolation capabilities of the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are great. They are quite effective in blocking out a variety of noises. This covers everything from the quiet rumble of passing buses to background noise to the shrill throb of an air conditioner. Therefore, whether you're seeking something to utilize during hectic commutes or noisy days at the workplace, these earbuds are a great option. It's worth thinking about the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II Truly Wireless if you're seeking in-ear headphones that do even better at noise isolation.

    Leakage

The performance of leaks is excellent. Leakage sounds rather thin and is primarily concentrated in the mid-to-treble range. If you like to play your favorite music loudly, many around you won't be able to hear it

    AirPods Pro 2 microphone features

    Recording Quality

The recording quality from the integrated mic is mediocre. It's tougher to understand you when your voice is faint and a little muffled.

    Noise Control

The mic does a decent job of handling noise. If you're making a call in a noisy setting, the microphone has problems differentiating your voice from the background noise, and speech may even be completely drowned out. This won't be much of an issue, though, if you're calling from a calm location like your house
